This beautiful Bodrum kilim is entirely handwoven using traditional flatweave techniques in Etrim Village, Bodrum, Turkey.
The kilim features a warm mustard-yellow background with traditional geometric motifs in red, navy blue, white, and blue. The central diamond-shaped compositions and small surrounding motifs give the piece a distinctive character inspired by traditional Anatolian weaving.
The colors are created using natural root dyes, giving the kilim its warm and authentic appearance. Unlike knotted carpets, kilims are made using a flatweave technique, where the weft and warp threads are woven together without knots.
Each handmade kilim is unique, with subtle variations that reflect the character and craftsmanship of the artisan who created it.
